                        Death of an Old Resident.

    Mrs. Emeline Kingsley died at her home near Coalition Corner on Feb. 28 at 1:30 A.M. She was born in North Kingstown in 1863, the daughter of Isaac and Lydia (Hunt) Shippee, and had lived in this vicinity for about  20 years. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lydia Shippee of Providence and a son Winfred C. Kingsley, a well-known merchant in this place, with whom she had made her home for many years. Mrs. Hettie Lewis, an old friend, was with her when the end came.
    The funeral which was private took place at the home on March 3 at 2 P.M.  Rev. Edwin O. Taylor of the Wickford Baptist church officiated and burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery.
    Friends and acquaintances will long remember her loving disposition, her motherly love and devotion to her only son.
