Death of Mrs. J. Alonzo Jocoy.
Mrs. Laura Jocoy, wife of J. Alonzo Jocoy, died at her residence in Wakefield last Friday afternoon after an illness from pneumonia which began on the Sunday previous, and which from the first was of a serious nature. The funeral took place on Friday at eleven o'clock. Rev. J. W. Fobes of the Peace Dale Congregational church officiating. The bearers were H. A. Edwards, William M. Longstreet, Joseph B. Nichols and Edward Harvey. The burial was in Riverside cemetery.
Mrs. Jocoy was in the forty-fourth year of her age and was born in Preston, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Harvey E. and Caroline A. Bitgood, and was married in 1880. Besides her husband, she leaves five children, three daughters and two sons. Her father also survives her, also two sisters, Mrs. Henry Clarke and Mrs. George Church of Hope Valley. Mrs. Jocoy was a woman of pleasant disposition and her death is regretted by all who knew her.
