24. Joseph S.3 Fones (Julia Ann (Jerket)2 Jocoy, Elisha1 Jerket) was born in North Kingstown, Washington Co., RI 23 November 1823. Joseph died 26 September 1898 in Cranston, Providence County, Rhode Island, at 74 years of age. He was buried in Manchester Cemetery, Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island.

He married Lucy A. Gardiner before 1845. Lucy was born 11 January 1826. Lucy died 5 November 1886 in Cranston, Providence County, Rhode Island, at 60 years of age. She was buried in Manchester Cemetery, Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island.

Joseph S. Fones and Lucy A. Gardiner had the following children:

child 95 i. Cefuentice4 Fones was born about 1845. Cefuentice died 1 February 1849 at 3 years of age. She was buried in Manchester Cemetery, Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island.

child 96 ii. Frances Fones was born about 1846. Frances died 10 February 1849 at 2 years of age. She was buried in Manchester Cemetery, Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island.

child + 97 iii. David Thomas Fones was born 2 May 1847.

child + 98 iv. Lucy E. Fones was born about 1853.

child 99 v. Charles Henry Fones was born in Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island 2 August 1862. Charles died 24 August 1863 at 1 year of age. He was buried in Manchester Cemetery, Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island.
