Arthur B. Salisbury Dead
Arthur Brayton Salisbury died at his home in La Fayette on Tuesday evening, aged 52 years and five days. He had been in ill health for more than a year and seriously sick for several weeks with pernicious anaemia.
He was the son of the late George L. and Marilla J. (Cole) Salisbury. He had lived in North Kingstown for about 35 years.
He had always followed the machinists trade and had for years been boss of the machine shops for the Rodman Manufacturing Company.
He was a member and long Secretary of the Allenton Social Club and also belonged to the La Fayette Village Improvement Association. He was a member of the Allenton Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, who was Matilda Jecoy, of Hamilton, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Edith Gardiner of La Fayette; Mrs. Lawrence Andrews, of West Greenwich; and Miss Iola Salisbury, who lived at home. there are also four sons, Ernest of Allenton; Everett, Wilfred and Leon, all at home. several grand children also survive.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.
