GEORGE W. STANDEVEN DEAD
George W. Standeven died suddenly on Wednesday in his 74th year. HE had gone into John Franklin's house at Allenton and was seized with a sudden attack and died before a doctor could reach there.
Mr. Standeven was the son of William and Hannah (Broadbent) Standeven. His mother was born in Yorkshire, England.
He had lived in North Kingstown for over 50 years, and in earlier life had been a weaver. The past few years he had done nothing.
He was twice married, first to Ida Briggs, daughter of Peleg Briggs, and last to Mary Huling, daughter of William Huling. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Arnold of Pawtucket; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Moon of East Greenwich, and several nieces and nephews.
